Hollywood Celebrities Who Play Golf

 

If you believe that hitting the greens is only for regular people, you are quite wrong. In fact, there are several stars who also enjoy a game of eighteen holes with their friends and family. Here are a few of them.

Kevin Michael Costner – A businessman, singer, musician, producer, and star all at the same time. He has been nominated for three BAFTAs. His roles include Eliot Ness in The Untouchables and Jim Garrison in JFK. He plays regularly in tournaments, including the PGA Tour’s annual.

Samuel L. Jackson – According to the Guinness Book of World Records, he is the highest-grossing actor of all time. He has appeared in over 100 films including the Iron Man and Die Hard with a Vengeance. He enjoys the precision club-and-ball sport, which he has reportedly become very proficient at.

Sylvester Stallone – Two of the notable characters he has portrayed include soldier John Rambo and boxer Rocky Balboa. Not only is he a thespian, he is also a director and occasional painter. Most notably, he is also an avid golfer!

Carlos Bernard – A graduate of Master of Fine Arts in the American Conservatory Theatre, he is best known for his role as Tony Almeida in the popular series 24, which ran from 2001 to 2006. When not on screen, Bernard can be seen on the greens. He almost, always participates in celebrity golf tournaments held every year.

Jack Nicholson – He is well-known for his dark-themed portrayals of neurotic characters. He has been nominated for Academy Awards 12 times, and has won Best Actor twice. He has also received seven Golden Globes and a Kennedy Center Honor. On top of that, he owns a 70-acre golfing yard in Malibu!

Hugh John Mungo Grant – He is a regular at pro-am competitions with membership at the Sunningdale Club. He has even taken part in the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, which is one of the richest golf tournaments on the European Tour.

Jack Wagner – He is best-known for his characters in the soap operas General Hospital, The Bold and The Beautiful, and Melrose Place. He is an avid player and has won the 2006 American Century Championship and is respected amongst his peers for his ability.

Christopher Eugene O’Donnell – His notable representations include Robin in two Batman films, Finn Dandridge in Grey’s Anatomy, Peter Garrett in Vertical Limit, and Callen in NCIS: Los Angeles. He has participated in a golf outing to help raise funds for the Motion Picture and Television fund.

Lucas Black – He is recognised for his appearance in the CBS series American Gothic as well as in films such as The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, and Legion. He was without any formal training, and his début was in the 1994 movie The War. He regularly play golf to get away from the hustle and bustle of Hollywood.

Superstars have not only contributed to the arts community, but in sports as well. There is certainly more to their lives than just studios, tours, and autograph signings.
